Irving had been dealing with both an ankle as well and a more severe shoulder injury that’s kept him out the past two months.
In his absence, the duo of RB Sean Tucker and RB Rachaad White has filled it admirably. Tucker, in particular, has leapfrogged White for the primary early down work, while White still retains the third down passing situations.
Even with the return of Irving, it creates a messy situation that leaves fantasy managers in disarray.

Should You Start Bucky Irving?
While the Buccaneers’ offensive line continues to get healthier, helping raise the floor for this RB group, it’s simply hard to trust Irving at this time.
He’s officially listed with a questionable game status designation, meaning he’s still not fully healthy. With a player not taking any contact for an extended period of time, it will be risky to trust him in your starting lineups
Head coach Todd Bowles also hinted at a hot hand and platoon approach towards the usage of the running backs. What that likely means is that Irving won’t get the 20-touch per game workload he was seeing before his injury. Instead, they’ll ease him into the offense, while having both Tucker and White come in to spell him from time to time.
If there are no other options at the position this week on your team, you should slide him into your flex spot, however, if you have the luxury of sitting him, it may be the safer option in the event he drops a dud game.
