In Reality, The USC Trojans Hold The No. 1 2026 Recruiting Class By A Country Mile

We are cratering into the middle of July, and the USC Trojans still hold the No. 1 2026 recruiting class. They currently have 31 total commitments and are pushing for one more in 4-star iOL Breck Kolojay before they kick off fall camp.

They will then hold the three remaining spots for fall evaluations, as they hope to complete their class with 35 total commitments.

The Georgia Bulldogs currently hold the 2nd-ranked class and are right on the Trojans’ heels with 29 total commitments. At the end of the cycle, they could end up overtaking USC for the top spot, but in reality, that will just be a technicality.

The USC Trojans Have The Top Recruiting Class By A Country Mile

In reality, the USC Trojans have two more 5-star prospects who were originally in the 2026 class but reclassified to the 2025 class and are already enrolled and on campus, ready to compete this year.

Jahkeem Stewart was the No. 1 overall prospect in the entire 2026 class before moving to the 2025 class. He has already had a fantastic spring camp and is likely to make an impact on Saturdays this season.

RJ Sermons was the No. 1 cornerback in the 2026 class before making a late reclassification. He enrolled at SC this summer and is also ready to compete in the fall.

This means that the Trojans would actually have three 5-star commits, along with Keenyi Pepe, who will likely get bumped up to a 5-star during the fall season.

Having four 5-star commits would only trail Alabama (who currently have 5), and would undoubtedly further their No. 1 ranking.

Obviously, none of this matters, as these players are Trojans, regardless of which class. But if/when the national media or an opposing fan base wants to bring up that USC currently only has one 5-star commit, you can hit them with a full case of humble pie.

Fight On.
