USC Trojans Named New Leader For Talented Local WR

Just a few hours ago, elite EDGE Simote Katoanga committed to the USC Trojans. Now his teammate, WR Trent Mosley, is trending towards staying home in SoCal.

Similar to Katoanga, Mosley had been trending towards Notre Dame, but Steve Wiltfong of On3 just logged a new expert prediction that Mosley will commit to USC.

The On3 RPM has the Trojans sitting at 62.3% while Notre Dame sits at 35.8%.

USC Trojans Pick Up Commitment Prediction For Trent Mosley

USC’s new GM, Chad Bowden, was recently the GM at Notre Dame, so this could have something to do with the relationship that he had already built and has now transferred over to SC, but also is a testament to Lincoln Riley’s commitment to recruiting California.

The 4-star, 5’10, 170-pound receiver out of Rancho Santa Margarita is the 26th-ranked WR in the nation, per On3 Industry Rankings, and the 18th-ranked player in the State of California.

As a sophomore, Mosley was named Trinity League MVP by the coaches after he garnered 81 catches, 1282 yards, and 11 touchdowns, while also rushing for 270 yards and 15 more touchdowns.

While SC did just get an expert prediction, they will still have plenty of competition. His brother just finished a standout freshman season at Stanford, and both of his parents attended Notre Dame.

Greg Biggins of 247 Sports gave him a player comp of Amon-Ra St. Brown, which would be an exciting legacy to live up to at USC.
