What’s The Latest With USC Trojans Commit Boobie Feaster After Peyton Houston Commitment To LSU?

The USC Trojans are sitting at 3-0 on the season, and their 2026 recruiting class is still at No. 1 in the country. Many recruits are quite enthusiastic about the early part of the season and are extremely excited about the program’s future.

When looking at the next recruiting class (2027), one prospect we have discussed extensively is quarterback Peyton Houston.

The USC Trojans and Lincoln Riley pursued him once they moved on from Ryder Lyons, and there was a lot of speculation that he would end up in Los Angeles.

One factor was his relationship with wide receiver Boobie Feaster, who committed to the Trojans in July. The two are really close, and the families are even closer. A dream was born that both players would play college ball together, and that dream put the USC Trojans at the forefront.

However, the Trojans’ recruitment of Houston cooled, and today, the young, talented quarterback announced his commitment to the LSU Tigers.

Once it began to look like a Houston – LA reunion would not be happening, the rumors started to swirl about Boobie Feaster, and if he would eventually decommit to follow his friend.

A month or so ago, there were heavy rumors that he would visit Oklahoma with Houston when the Sooners played Michigan. Both Feaster and his father shot that down, and a visit never took place.

So what’s the latest now?

As of now, there are no indications that Feaster is at risk of decommitting. Based on what we have heard, his commitment to the Trojans is still strong.

Scott Schrader of Rivals put out a similar sentiment, stating, “The reply we received was that the Trojans expect Feaster to end up in their 2026 recruiting class. In fact, the feeling at USC is that they’re in a very solid shape with all 32 of their verbal commits.”

Never say never, and it is still a long way until December, but when it comes to Feaster, things are still fully in the Trojans’ favor.

He will be one of the headliners of the class, with a likely lucrative NIL package. And when you look at the way the season has gone, the wide receiver position is one of the best in the Big Ten.

Makai Lemon and Ja’Lobi Lane are two of the best receivers in the country, demonstrating the Trojans’ continued ability to develop the WR position. There is also the fact that both receivers will likely be gone next year after entering the NFL Draft. This leaves a huge opportunity for Feaster to have a large role as a true freshman.

It has only been a few hours since Peyton Houston committed to LSU, so we will see when the dust settles if any dominoes fall, but for now, Boobie Feaster and the USC Trojans appear to still be in a good spot.
