The First Domino Might Be Dropping For USC Trojans After Official Visit Weekend

The USC Trojans are in the midst of their first official visit weekend of June, and all indications are that it is going very well.

So much so that On3’s Steve Wiltfong just put in an expert prediction for elite cornerback Peyton Dyer to commit to the Trojans.

We said just a few days ago that Dyer was one of the recruits to keep an eye on, and it looks like that might turn into a commitment.

USC Trojans Get Expert Prediction To Land CB Peyton Dyer

The 6’1, 190-pound CB out of Duluth (Atlanta), Georgia, is the 25th-ranked CB in the 2026 class, according to On3 Industry Rankings.

The Trojans currently have two official corners in their class with Elbert Hill and Brandon Lockhart. Joshua Holland and Madden Riordan can both play corner, but both could potentially be safeties as well.

When looking at USC recruiting, pretty much all of these recruits should be viewed as defensive backs, as D’Anton Lynn and Doug Belk will move these players around and find the best positions for them.

One other little tidbit out of this weekend is that things look to be going very well with 4-star linebacker Talanoa Ili.

I would not be surprised at all if, when this is all over, both Dyer and Ili end up committing to the USC Trojans and shut down their recruitment. Might not get announced today or tomorrow, but could be very soon.

We will have more on this weekend as we hear more.
