Star Texas Prospect Commits To USC Trojans

The USC Trojans continue to add to their impressive No. 1-ranked 2026 recruiting class. After spending the end of March with the staff and team on campus on an unofficial visit, Prosper, Texas defensive lineman Jake Johnson has committed to the Trojans.

DL Jake Johnson Commits To USC Trojans

With Jake Johnson, the USC Trojans now have a staggering 21 commitments in their 2026 class. Last week alone, the Trojans earned three commitments in DL Tomuhini Topui, WR Kohen Brown, and RB Deshonne Redeaux.

Johnson is a 6’3, 290-pound interior defensive lineman out of Prosper, Texas. He is the 61st-ranked DL in the nation, according to On3 Industry Rankings.

According to Gabe Brooks, a 247 sports scouting analyst, Johnson is a “one-speed bull rusher who can collapse the pocket. Still developing rush nuance, but flashes impressive point-of-attack strength and a consistently revved motor.”

His size could allow him to move more to the outside, not as a true EDGE, but similar in position to what Devan Thompkins played last year.

Listed as a DL, Johnson joins Jaimeon Winfield (also out of Texas), Topui, and Malik Brooks. Coach Henderson and Coach Nua have built a really strong and deep defensive line group for 2026.
