The USC Trojans just locked down a big-time commitment on the Defensive Line. Floyd Boucard, who just recently decommitted from Oklahoma has announced that he is committing to Lincoln Riley and USC.
In an interview with On3.com, Boucard said:
I see a great opportunity at USC. I was locked in with Oklahoma, but watching USC this season is really what changed my mind. Seeing how they rotate defensive linemen, how they play underclassmen and seeing an opportunity to play early is what caught my attention.

Why Floyd Boucard Chose USC Trojans
Boucard had an official visit to USC back in June and there was sweeping sentiment that he would commit to the Trojans then. But he held off for a bit and then committed to Oklahoma in July.
Per Boucard’s interview with On3, SC never took the foot off the gas in his recruitment, in fact, they pursued even harder.
USC kept recruiting me. They even upped their game once I committed. We were talking before I committed to Oklahoma, but even more after I committed. It is like they knew what was going to happen in the future. I have been talking with coach Riley almost every day. My relationship with coach Riley is very strong. My bond with him is the best bond with any coach. And he is the head coach. Our relationship is amazing.

Boucard was at the Coliseum last weekend for the Trojans’ victory over the Wisconsin Badgers where he was able to witness a healthy rotation on the defensive line with a mix of freshmen and a dominant second-half performance. That seems to be what sealed the deal for him.
The 6’3, 315-pound Canadian Native is a 3-star tackle who plays High School ball for Miami Central. He is the 44th-ranked defensive lineman in the country and has all the tools to really grow and develop into a dominant college interior tackle.
Coach Henderson deserves a lot of credit for this recruiting victory, but it is exciting to see how involved and invested Coach Riley is. Players want to have a relationship with the head coach, and clearly, Riley recognizes that which is a big difference-maker.
The addition of Boucard moves the USC Trojans 2025 Recruiting Class to the 10th-ranked class in the country, and they are not done yet. I would expect more commits on the defensive line to come.
