The USC Trojans are planning on having a massive 2026 class with potentially 30+ players when it is all said and done. They already have 15 total commits, so they are roughly halfway to their goal.
The strategy is evident by how many recruits have USC as finalists, including another talented playmaker making the announcement today.
4-star running back Favour Akih announced today that he is down to three schools in his recruitment. These schools are:
- USC Trojans
- Miami Hurricanes
- Ohio State Buckeyes
Thank you to all the teams who took a chance on be, and I’m thankful for all the relationships we have made along the way! But I am officially down to 3 schools! ✌️🙌🌰@Montgomery_DHHS pic.twitter.com/j7ECSWQZen

Favour Akih Puts USC Trojans In Top 3
The 5’11, 185-pound running back out of Ohio is the 18th-ranked RB in the class, per On3 Industry Rankings.
Akih has yet to visit USC or Miami but has been to his hometown school of Ohio State three times. He has two visits scheduled with the Hurricanes, an unofficial visit on March 25th, and an official visit on June 20th. He has an official visit scheduled with the Trojans on June 6th.

One little interesting note, according to On3, Akih’s primary recruiter has been LB Coach Rob Ryan, and he told On3 that USC offered him as a linebacker. So it will be interesting to see if he prefers one over the other and if that will affect his final decision. Miami is recruiting him as a running back.
If he were to commit as a running back, Akih would join fellow Ohio running back Shahn Alston in the class. Alston is the 12th-ranked RB in the Country. Local running back, Deshonne Redeaux has also been predicted to commit to the Trojans.
Don’t be surprised if USC ends up with 3-4 running backs in this class. Remember, they are planning on having a record number of commitments come signing day in December.
