It has been a wild week for the USC Trojans in the recruiting world. After a strong official visit last weekend, all indications were that elite 4-star EDGE Luke Wafle was set to commit, until it looked like he wasn’t.
After a late push from Ohio State, reports were that Wafle had swayed back to the Buckeyes. It seemed like that was going to be that, and Wafle would end up at a Big Ten rival.
Chad Bowden and the USC Trojans said not so fast, and made another NIL offer that pulled him back to the good guys, and Wafle ultimately committed to the Trojans on Thursday. He became the 30th commitment of the 2026 class, but the Trojans are not done.
We know that they are aiming to have a 35-person class, and have room for one more wide receiver.
After both Jalen Lott and Booble Feaster took official visits at the beginning of the month, it looked like USC would have the opportunity to land either one.
Now, an expert prediction has been put in for that to come to fruition.
USC Trojans Get Crystal Ball For WR Jalen Lott Commitment
Texas recruiting insider for On3, Eric Nahlin, submitted a recruiting prediction this morning (6/21) for Jalen Lott to commit to the USC Trojans.
Lott had his official visit to Texas last weekend and is currently on his OV to Oregon. This prediction from Nahlin indicates that Texas is out on Lott and that it is coming down to a showdown between USC and Oregon.
No one on the USC side has put in a prediction, but I’m sure we will know a lot more on where Lott stands after he leaves Eugene this weekend.

Lott, who is being recruited as a wide receiver, is the 2nd-ranked ATH in the country and the 54th-ranked overall national player, per On3 Industry Rankings.
Lott’s sister runs Track and Field at USC, giving the Trojans a slight edge in family dynamics. He would become the 31st commitment in their 2026 class.
We will watch this one very closely and give any updates that we receive. Make sure to keep a close eye on our USC message board.
