LAFB was live at USC Trojans practice on Friday to take in all the sights and sounds. The pads came on today, so you can bet the intensity and aggression went up a notch.
We were allowed to view the entirety of practice (which was a ton of fun), but only allowed to report on the beginning viewing portion.
You can see most for yourself, but:
- Makai Lemon, Zacharyus Williams, Xavier Jordan, and freshman James Johnson all fielded punts.
- LB Coach Rob Ryan was preaching violence, and you can tell the linebacker room has a newfound intensity.
- Chad Savage is a very vocal coach and someone who is constantly teaching, as all the coaches are.
- Every player was in attendance at practice. WR Ja’Kobi Lane was still limited, however, but zero cause for concern.
- Michah Banuelos is certainly a player to watch as a potential starter if DJ Wingfield’s case is denied. Lincoln Riley spoke very highly of him after practice (and his father told us on our Wednesday Conquest Call-In Show that he had been getting a lot of reps).
