The USC Trojans‘ game against the Purdue Boilermakers has officially entered a delay due to lightning strikes in the area.
Looks like the earliest this game can start is 12:50 PM PT https://t.co/f85MVihxZU

At this point, it is unknown exactly when the game will kick off, but every time there is a lightning strike within 10 miles of the stadium, the 30-minute clock restarts.
When Will USC Trojans Game Begin?
The original delay began at 12:15 PM PT, meaning that the earliest the game could kick off would be roughly at 12:50 PM PT.
During that time, another lightning strike occurred within the area, so the clock was reset.
We just had another lighting strike here in West Lafayette – which resets the clock on the delay.

Earliest restart time would be 4:20 ET plus whatever warmup time both teams have agreed to.
As of now, the best-case scenario is that the game can begin at 1:20 PM PT. However, with the game approaching an hour-long delay, both teams will need to go through stretching again, so whatever time becomes official, I would tack on at least 15-20 minutes on top of that.

The rain is really coming down now. Waiting to hear the latest on the lightning.
Looks like fans are entering the stadium again, meaning we should actually be close to this game kicking off.
They're letting fans back into the stadium. Hallelujah!

The team will likely need 15-20 minutes or so to complete stretching. So hopefully this game can begin around 3:15 PM PT.
According to Keely Eure, the game is expected to kick off in roughly an hour at 3:45 PM PT.
