USC Trojans Game Against Purdue Boilermakers In Lightning Delay, When Will Game Start?

The USC Trojans‘ game against the Purdue Boilermakers has officially entered a delay due to lightning strikes in the area.

At this point, it is unknown exactly when the game will kick off, but every time there is a lightning strike within 10 miles of the stadium, the 30-minute clock restarts.

When Will USC Trojans Game Begin?

The original delay began at 12:15 PM PT, meaning that the earliest the game could kick off would be roughly at 12:50 PM PT.

During that time, another lightning strike occurred within the area, so the clock was reset.

As of now, the best-case scenario is that the game can begin at 1:20 PM PT. However, with the game approaching an hour-long delay, both teams will need to go through stretching again, so whatever time becomes official, I would tack on at least 15-20 minutes on top of that.

Latest update.

The rain is really coming down now. Waiting to hear the latest on the lightning.

Looks like fans are entering the stadium again, meaning we should actually be close to this game kicking off.

The team will likely need 15-20 minutes or so to complete stretching. So hopefully this game can begin around 3:15 PM PT.

According to Keely Eure, the game is expected to kick off in roughly an hour at 3:45 PM PT.

If this holds, this will officially be more than 3 hours later than the original kick-off time. How will the USC Trojans react to this much of a delay? Comment below, Trojan Fam!
