Instead of naming season-long captains, the USC Trojans and Lincoln Riley have decided to name new captains each week during the season.
This is to ensure accountability and to promote new leadership throughout the season.
USC Trojans Name Week 2 Captains
This week’s captains are as follows:
- QB Jayden Maiava
- LB Eric Gentry
- DB DeCarlos Nicholson
- LS Hank Pepper
- C Kilian O’Connor

Jayden Maiava, Eric Genty, and Kilian O’Connor were all captains for last week’s game as well, symbolizing their continued leadership during the early part of the season.
The USC Trojans kick off against Georgia Southern at 4:30 PM PT at the Coliseum. The game will air on FS1.
