USC Trojans Commit Shines At Exclusive HS Camp, Proving He’s Ready for the Big Stage

USC Trojans quarterback commit Jonas Williams delivered one of the strongest showings at the 2025 Elite 11 Finals, earning his place among the top 12 quarterbacks in the country. Held at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, the event featured 20 of the nation’s best signal-callers—and Williams made it clear he belonged. While Texas five-star Dia Bell earned MVP honors, Williams’ steady improvement over the three-day competition culminated in one of the most impressive performances during the final 7-on-7 session.

A Strong Finish: Accuracy, Timing, and Confidence

After ranking No. 9 through the first two days, Williams surged on Day 3. According to On3’s Charles Power, the 6-foot-1.5 quarterback “was outstanding,” completing 18 of 22 passes for seven touchdowns—two more than any other quarterback. “While the arm strength will not blow you away, Williams is a polished passer with a refined skill level,” Power wrote. His confidence and rhythm stood out, especially given the limited time to build chemistry with unfamiliar receivers. Instead of playing conservatively, Williams showed bold anticipation and poise.

Williams becomes the latest USC quarterback commit to excel at the Elite 11, following names like Husan Longstreet and Julian Lewis. While he didn’t take home MVP honors like former Trojan Mark Sanchez once did, his performance was a major step in quieting critics. Despite not being ranked individually—the final group was listed alphabetically—his film and results spoke volumes.

A Bright Future in Cardinal and Gold

Williams has been busy preparing for his USC future. He visited campus in early June, worked out with five-star USC tight end commit Mark Bowman, and then returned for his official visit just before the Elite 11. “I feel pretty much acclimated to the environment now,” Williams said. “I’ve been out here so much this month. I feel like it’s kind of home now.”

Rated the No. 9 QB in the 247Sports Composite, Williams has proven he has the tools, poise, and accuracy to thrive in Lincoln Riley’s system. The Trojans’ future QB room looks bright—and Williams might just be the next star to lead it.
