We are just under 90 minutes from the USC Trojans kicking off Week 2 against Georgia Southern. The Tojans have a relatively clean bill of health, but unfortunately, five players will not suit up and have been deemed OUT.
- DB Prophet Brown
- WR Prince Strachan
- RB Bryan Jackson
- DB Alex Graham
- K Caden Chittenden
5 USC Trojans Players Ruled OUT With Injury
A timeline has still not been disclosed for Prophet Brown, but we know that he will miss a significant amount of time. Coach Riley told us that they hope to get him back at some point this season, but it is likely that he will miss at least half the year.
Wide receiver Prince Strachan was injured during the 3rd quarter of last week’s game. In real time, it looked like a serious injury, but he did practice in a limited capacity this week. Again, we do not know the extent of the injury, but it feels like he should not miss significant time and should be back on the field soon.

Running back Bryan Jackson is a real mystery. We do not know if he was injured during the game last week or during practice after the fact. On our Friday Zoom call, Coach Riley told us that he was doubtful to play. The ‘doubtful’ label leads me to believe that it is not too serious, and he should not miss extended time.
Freshman phenom Alex Graham was injured prior to last week’s game. The type of injury has not been disclosed, but Riley has deemed him OUT pretty bluntly each week. We will monitor him as we head into conference play next week.
Kicker Caden Chittenden missed most of Fall Camp and missed last week as well. Ryon Sayeri handled kicking duties last week, and he will do the same this week.
DL Jahkeem Stewart and DB Chasen Johnson are expected to make their debuts this week. There is plenty of anticipation, and both players will hope to get going early.
Anthony Beavers Jr. missed last week, and he is also expected to make his season debut today.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 PM PT at the Coliseum. The game airs on FS1.
