Big Ten Conference Continues To Slight USC Trojans With Latest Kickoff Time

The USC Trojans continue to get the short end of the stick when it comes to scheduling. It begins this week, and it continues with next week’s game against Illinois.

This week, they will host the Michigan State Spartans at 8:00 PM PT at the Coliseum. The hated PAC-12 After Dark followed the Trojans to the Big Ten, and became 30 minutes later!

The kickoff time for the following week (9/27) against Illinois in Champaign was just announced for 9:00 AM PT.

USC Trojans Get Big Noon Kickoff Against Illinois

A week after getting the latest kickoff possible, the USC Trojans will get the earliest.

On the positive side, it looks like they will get Big Noon Kickoff, which will be a nice feature of the program. On the negative, a 9 AM start is never ideal for a West Coast team, especially when that team has to travel out east.

It will be interesting if Lincoln Riley decides to travel a day earlier on Thursday or if he sticks with the usual departure date of Friday.

Illinois is currently the 9th-ranked team in the country, and the USC Trojans just cracked the Top 25, sitting 25th. The Fighting Illini face the 19th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers this weekend. Even if they end up losing, they should stay in the Top 25.

So if USC can take care of business against Michigan State, it should be a battle of two Top 25 teams, and one of the better college football matchups that we will get to witness so far in the season.

The game will air on FOX.
