Surprising to no one was the news that USC Trojans QB Miller Moss would be entering the transfer portal. However, in more unexpected news, Redshirt Sophomore offensive lineman Amos Talalele has decided to enter the portal.
In a graphic posted on Twitter, Amos wrote:
“First and foremost I want to thank God for everything he has done for me, thank you Trojan family for the last 2 years, I’m thankful for the opportunity and the relationships I built. With that being said I will enter the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining.”
USC Trojans Amos Talalele To Enter Portal
The 6’4, 340-pound offensive guard figured to compete for a starting spot next season.
The former 3-star prospect out of Santa Clara, CA was a part of the 9th-ranked 2023 recruiting class. After redshirting his freshman year, he saw over 100 snaps this season, primarily on special teams.
Unfortunately, he may be best remembered for allowing a Maryland defender to get through the line and block a field goal that would have put USC up two scores. Instead, Maryland would get great field position and would go on to win the game.
USC will need to retool their offensive line in the transfer portal this offseason, as starters Emmanuel Pregnon, Mason Murphy, and Jonah Monheim will all be eligible for the NFL Draft.
