Yo, USC Trojans family.
Practice number five of fall camp is in the books. Here’s the quick and concise version of what stood out.
Bloom Center Opens Tonight
The big non-practice news: the Bloom Center officially opens tonight with a ribbon-cutting for donors and invite-only guests.
Media gets the full tour tomorrow (Thursday). I’ll be there, taking photos and video to share on the channel and socials.

From the limited looks we’ve gotten so far, the place is stunning. It sits right there with (or possibly ahead of) the new facilities at places like the Broncos, Notre Dame, and Nebraska. Road is closed in front of it for the event tonight. Full public looks and deeper details coming tomorrow.
Practice Notes
We only got the usual media viewing window — stretching and individual drills. No major new lineup revelations.
Secondary and linebacker groups continue to look like the same starting combinations we’ve been seeing. Nothing new there.
Kick Return Notes
A few extra names mixed in on kick return today:
- Kayden Dixon-Wyatt
- Luc Weaver
- Plus the usual group: Deshonne Redeaux, Shahn Alston, Riley Wormley, Boobie Feaster

My current ranking for the job:
- Deshonne Redeaux (still the favorite)
- Riley Wormley (solid, brings some power and tackle-breaking)
- Don’t sleep on Dixon-Wyatt or Feaster — pure athletes
The Wide Receiver Room
This is the real story of the day.
Boobie Feaster and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt stood out again in individual route work. Both are true freshmen with college-ready bodies, route running, and catch radius. Feaster only recently turned 17. These are not typical freshman frames.
Trent Mosley belongs in the same conversation. Tron Baker and others continue to push too. Tanook Hines is still limited, which is only opening more reps for the young guys.
I’ve covered this program for a while. I can’t remember a more talented and deep receiver room since the group that had Tyler Vaughns, Michael Pittman Jr., Amon-Ra St. Brown, and true freshman Drake London.

The 2023 class (Zachariah Branch, Makai Lemon, Ja’kobi Lane, Duce Robinson) was elite, but those guys were brought along more slowly. This current group of freshmen already looks ready for real game-day reps.
Take it outside of USC and the closest modern comparison for me is that Ohio State room with Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba — the kind of group where one through three (and more) were all legit first-round talents.
That’s the level of upside I’m seeing right now. One through six in this room all have the skill set to be a WR1 if the opportunities line up. It’s just a matter of who seizes the roles.
Bottom Line
No dramatic position battles shifted today. The facility is about to be fully open. The return game is sorting itself out. And the wide receiver room looks like it has a chance to be special — maybe the best in the country when it’s all said and done.
More recruiting content and media day interviews dropping throughout the week.
Fight On.
