Deshonne Redeaux, a highly touted four-star running back prospect in the 2026 recruiting class from Oaks Christian High School in Los Angeles, has narrowed his list of potential schools to six, including UCLA Football. The Bruins initially extended an offer to Redeaux nearly a year ago in early March of 2024.

As reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday afternoon, Redeaux is now focusing on Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a composite ranking that incorporates data from all four major recruiting services, Redeaux is ranked as the 115th overall prospect and the 12th-best running back in the 2026 cycle. He is also the 14th-ranked player in the state of California.

During his junior year at Oaks Christian High School, Deshonne Redeaux rushed for over 1,200 yards and scored 17 touchdowns. His contributions helped the Lions achieve a nine-win season and a No. 20 ranking in California according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

Both USC and UCLA, located in his home state, have hosted Redeaux for numerous unofficial visits throughout his recruitment process, and both schools successfully made his final list. In a previous interview with On3, Redeaux discussed the key factors he is considering when evaluating potential colleges for the next level.

“It will be about how the staff and people treat me,” Redeaux said. “Life outside of football is also something I am looking hard at. I will know about the football stuff at the schools I am looking at, so I want to know more about life outside of football and if the coaches care about the players. Those types of things will matter.”

According to Greg Biggins of 247 Sports, One of the nation’s top two-sport athletes. Not just a dominant running back but a top sprinter as well. Personal best 10.42-100m/21.32-100m as a freshman but had to sit out sophomore track season due to an injury puts him among the top sprinters in California. Speed jumps out on the football field as well.

A true home run threat from anywhere on the field. Has some wiggle to him, can make a defender miss in the open field and runs hard. Has a solid frame, strong upper body and carries 195 pounds really well. Has a physical edge to him, played corner as a freshman and would lay guys out although he focused on running back as a sophomore.

Decisive runner, doesn’t dance around or try to be too cute, hits the hole and isn’t afraid to initiate contact. Catches the ball well out of the backfield, not just screens but wheel routes and deep balls down the slot. Junior season will be big for him to show he can be a durable, every down back but the ceiling is high and Redeaux projects as an easy high major Power 4 prospect.
