The Southern California high school prep scene is one of the most talented in the nation. Football rosters are littered with Blue Chip prospects, and the top programs around the country hand out offers like candy.

However, there are still talented prospects who fly under the radar. One of those prospects is Laguna Beach High School junior quarterback Jack Hurst.

Hurst currently has a zero-star ranking, but his play is like that of a five-star.

So far this season, he has led Laguna Beach to a 7-0 record. He has thrown for 1,752 yards and an astounding 30 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions. Last night’s stat line alone should get Hurst some more attention on the national circuit.

Against Fountain Valley, Hurst finished with 294 yards with a very efficient 17 completions on 23 attempts. The big number, however, was his SEVEN touchdown passes.

He leads the Southern Section in touchdowns and is in the top rankings for passing yards.

The 6’4, 190-pound junior currently has one collegiate offer from UAB and head coach Trent Dilfer. With the way the season is going, his offer list should begin to grow.
