Among the players of interest were Robert Williams (Portland Trail Blazers), Myles Turner (Indiana Pacers), Jericho Sims (New York Knicks), Jakob Poeltl (Toronto Raptors), and Jalen Duren (Pistons).

Late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, Los Angeles addressed that need by acquiring the 23-year-old Williams from Charlotte. In return, the Lakers sent rookie Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, a 2031 unprotected first-round pick, and a 2030 pick swap to the Hornets.
Duren, the 21-year-old center has emerged as a key contributor to the Pistons’ resurgence this season, averaging an impressive 10.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 69.8% from the field.
Duren’s impact on the Pistons’ success has been undeniable, as he has played a crucial role in propelling the team to a 25-26 record and a seventh-seed position in the Eastern Conference. His combination of athleticism, rebounding prowess, and defensive impact makes him a highly coveted young player in the NBA.
Given the team’s current playoff contention, it is unlikely they seriously considered parting ways with the young center. Duren has emerged as a foundational piece for the Pistons’ future, contributing significantly to their success this season.
