Lakers Star Now Expected To Miss Time With Multiple Injuries

On Sunday, NBA Insider Shams Charania reported that Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić will miss at least one week with a finger strain and a left leg contusion.

It is unclear when Dončić suffered these injuries, but he will be forced to miss at least the next four Lakers games due to these injuries. Dončić came into training camp in the best shape of his life, and it showed on the court through the first two games of the season.

Dončić was off to a magical start to this year, posting 43 and 49 points in his first two games, becoming the first Laker to ever score over 40 points in their first two games of a season. Laker fans hope these injuries are minor and will not keep Luka out for too long, so he can continue his dominance on the court.

Meanwhile, fellow guard Austin Reaves picked up the slack in the absence of both Dončić and LeBron James as Reaves exploded for a career-high 51 point, 11 rebound, 9 assist masterpiece against the Kings. Although not likely to be sustainable, Reaves will be relied upon as the first option to help the Lakers tread water through the early part of the new NBA season.
