Los Angeles Clippers Share Big Norman Powell Injury Update

The Los Angeles Clippers’ performance has noticeably declined since the beginning of February. As of Tuesday, March 4th, they’ve recorded a 4-8 record since February 2nd and have been playing exclusively on the road since February 12th. With a challenging schedule ahead to conclude the season, their recent struggles raise concerns about a potential play-in tournament appearance.

Facing the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night before their return to the Intuit Dome, the Clippers are in a crucial must-win situation to regain momentum. However, further complications have arisen with the announcement regarding their leading scorer.

Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue has announced that Powell is now sidelined with a right hamstring strain and will be reevaluated in 10 days, suggesting his return is unlikely before the conclusion of their current three-game road trip.

The past month has been particularly challenging for Powell. After being omitted from the All-Star roster, he returned from a five-game absence on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, only to leave the game prematurely. Regardless of his readiness to play, Powell will now be forced to the bench for an extended period.

The Clippers must now refocus their efforts on the upcoming game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, aiming for a victory to boost team morale. The game is scheduled to tip off in Phoenix at 10:00 p.m. EST.
