A rare accomplishment happened Saturday as the Los Angeles Clippers won a basketball game, defeating the woeful Charlotte Hornets on the road, winning by a final score of 131-116. This victory marked just the 5th win of the season for the Clippers as they are now 5-11 to start the year.
Notably absent once again was Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard as he missed his 10th consecutive game recovering from a foot and ankle sprain.
Without Leonard, the Clippers have cratered, going just 2-8 in his absence. However, NBA Insider Chris Haynes reports Leonard is expected to get back on the court tomorrow for a road matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Los Angeles Clippers Star Kawhi Leonard To Return
The Clippers are really struggling this season and are trying to make one last push with Kawhi and Harden as their two core players.
With the oldest roster in NBA history, no fans, and no first-round pick, this team is desperate to make the playoffs to justify trading away the reigning Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous Alexander, along with 5 first-round picks for Leonard and Paul George, who is no longer on the team.

Sunday’s matchup should be something the Clippers are not used to seeing at the empty Inuit Dome. A sold-out crowd is expected in Cleveland as they take on one of the favorites to win the Eastern Conference in Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
