At the trade deadline, the Minnesota Twins offloaded much of their top talent, including bullpen arm Brock Stewart to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and closer Jhoan Duran, which appears to be a move towards yet another rebuild.
These trades have upset the Twins franchise’s star outfielder, Byron Buxton, who reportedly will demand a trade if the roster continues to be dismantled.
Could Los Angeles Dodgers Make A Move For Byron Buxton?
Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports that Buxton has told anybody who would listen that he wants to be a Minnesota Twin for life. However, after the Twins dealt 10 players at the deadline, he has become willing to waive his no-trade clause. Buxton is now 32 years old and wants to play for a winner.

If Buxton were to waive his no-trade clause, there is no better fit than the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers have a real need for another outfielder, and Buxton would be a perfect fit to fill that need.
Buxton is a player who can do it all as he can hit for average, power, play elite defense, and steal bases, making him a perfect fit for the Dodger culture. Additionally, if Buxton wants to play for a winner, there is no team in a better spot for contention than the Los Angeles Dodgers, who just won their 3rd World Series in the last 5 years.
Buxton still has 3 years remaining on his contract and would be a valuable contributor to a team looking to three-peat for the first time since the New York Yankees from 1998-2000.
