Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández exited Monday’s game against the Miami Marlins in the fourth inning due to left hamstring tightness, the team announced. While the severity of the injury remains uncertain, Hernández’s early departure is a concerning development for an LA team that has relied heavily on his bat.

Before leaving the game, Hernández went 2-for-2 with a single and a double, continuing a red-hot stretch at the plate. Through the season’s early months, he has emerged as one of the club’s most consistent offensive weapons, boasting a .305 batting average, nine home runs, and a league-leading 34 RBIs.

This marks just the second time Hernández has missed action in 2025—the only prior instance being due to a brief illness (a stomach bug). His durability and production have been key in anchoring a lineup navigating several early-season injuries.

Following Hernández’s exit, Chris Taylor shifted to center field, while Andy Pages moved over to right. LA’s depth will be tested if Hernández is sidelined for any extended period, particularly as the team aims to maintain offensive momentum in a competitive National League.

Manager Dave Roberts is expected to provide a further update on Hernández’s condition following the conclusion of Monday’s game in Miami.
