Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow exited Sunday’s game before the top of the second inning with an apparent arm injury, which the Dodgers have now revealed to be right shoulder discomfort.
This marks the second consecutive start that Glasnow has left a game early due to injury. His previous start against the Texas Rangers was cut short due to leg cramps. Sunday’s departure, after just 17 pitches, is a separate and potentially more concerning issue. Glasnow was observed shaking out his arm during warmups before the top of the second inning. In his brief outing, he allowed two earned runs and issued one walk.
Tyler Glasnow Joins Growing List of Injured Los Angeles Dodgers Pitchers

Despite this, manager Dave Roberts stated that there was no concern regarding Glasnow’s health status heading into Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The bullpen has been snakebiten with several pitchers currently on the injured list (IL), including Gavin Stone, Emmet Sheehan, River Ryan, Kyle Hurt, Michael Grove, and Brusdar Graterol who are recovering from surgery.
Clayton Kershaw, Tony Gonsolin, Michael Kopech, and Blake Snell are also on the IL due to other injuries. Additionally, Edgardo Henriquez, Evan Phillips, and Blake Treinen are also on the IL.
Manager Dave Roberts has remained level-headed about the ongoing issues, reiterating that October is the focus for several of the rehabbing pitchers.
