Los Angeles Dodgers Starter Exits Pirates Game After 1 Inning With Another Apparent Injury

Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow departed Sunday’s game in the second inning due to an apparent injury. After throwing several warmup pitches, Glasnow exited the game and was replaced by right-handed pitcher Ben Casparius.

This marks the second consecutive start that Glasnow has left early due to injury. His previous start against the Texas Rangers was cut short due to leg cramps, while Sunday’s abbreviated outing appeared to be related to an arm issue.

The Dodgers bullpen has been snakebiten with several pitchers currently on the injured list (IL), including Gavin Stone, Emmet Sheehan, River Ryan, Kyle Hurt, Michael Grove, and Brusdar Graterol who are recovering from surgery.

Clayton Kershaw, Tony Gonsolin, Michael Kopech, and Blake Snell are also on the IL due to other injuries. Additionally, Edgardo Henriquez, Evan Phillips, and Blake Treinen are also on the IL.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has remained level-headed about the ongoing issues, reiterating that October is the focus for several of the rehabbing pitchers.
