New Los Angeles Dodgers Outfielder Takes Hilarious Shot At Former Team

The Los Angeles Dodgers made a significant move this offseason by signing outfielder Michael Conforto to a one-year, $17 million contract. This acquisition was strategically aimed at bolstering the team’s outfield depth and adding a potent left-handed bat to the lineup.

Conforto’s 2024 season with the San Francisco Giants fell short of expectations, raising questions about his current form. However, the Dodgers’ front office and hitting staff undoubtedly identified areas where Conforto can regain his previous level of offensive production.

While the contract exceeded some initial projections, LA clearly believes in Conforto’s ability to contribute significantly to the team’s success in the upcoming season.

“Just talking to the hitting coaches, they saw what I would say in my words, were flashes of where I was in my All-Star seasons, last year,” Conforto said.

“But there were also some slumps in there, so the hitting coaches were saying they see some things that are there when I’m going good. And when I’m not going good, they kind of have some ideas to keep me in that consistent space. Obviously, the home-road splits were big. You can’t ignore those.”

Conforto: “Excited to hit here in Dodger Stadium. Excited to not freeze in the outfield this year.”

“So I think playing in a place like Dodger Stadium, it’s more of a fair ballpark. The ball flies when it’s warm, and it could be a recipe for some bigger numbers this year.”

Conforto’s 2024 season with the San Francisco Giants saw him post a “.237/.309/.450” slash line with 20 home runs.
