After 6 hours and 40 minutes of baseball, Los Angeles Dodgers 1st Baseman Freddie Freeman made history by becoming the first player to ever hit multiple walk-off World Series home runs.

After nearly hitting a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 11th, Freeman did not miss this one, putting an exclamation point on an epic night of baseball.

In a game full of twists and turns, perhaps no bigger star than Shohei Ohtani contributed to the game reaching extra innings.

After the Blue Jays pulled ahead 5-4, Ohtani would hit a home run on a pitch right down the middle to tie the game, his 2nd of the day and his 4th RBI of the game accounting for 4 of the 5 Dodger runs.

An Epic Los Angeles Dodgers Finish

Following Ohtani’s home run, neither team would score for the next 10 innings. There were many heroes who kept the score at 0-0 for the Dodgers through those next 10 innings.

2024 NLCS MVP Tommy Edman was incredible defensively throughout this game. Atoning for an error he made earlier in the night, Edman made multiple clutch throws, and none were greater than when he took the relay throw from Teoscar Hernandez and threw out Davis Schneider at home plate in the top of the 10th.

Another hero was Dodgers’ future Hall of Fame pitcher Clayton Kershaw. In Kershaw’s final season, he gave Dodgers fans one last iconic moment, coming on in relief to get the Dodgers out of a bases-loaded jam at the top of the 12th inning.

Perhaps no man contributed more than Dodgers’ relief pitcher Will Klein. The Dodgers ran out of arms and needed Klein to pitch just to tread water.

Klein threw 4 shutout innings, 72 pitches, and successfully got the Dodgers through to the 18th inning tied at 5-5.

Thankfully, Freeman hit the walkoff homerun because the Dodgers were going to pull Klein for ace Yoshinobu Yammamoto, who had just pitched a complete game in Toronto on Saturday night.

This was a true team win as it took nearly the entire roster to earn this crucial game 3 victory. The Dodgers look to extend their series lead to 3-1 tonight as Shohei Ohtani will make his first World Series debut as a pitcher following his incredible 4 RBI night last night.
