The Los Angeles Dodgers may finally start getting some injury relief. After what has been an injury-filled season on a somewhat historic level, many of those injured pitchers and players will slowly make their way back into the lineup.
One of those players is star reliever Blake Treinen.
Treinen has been on the 60-day IL and hasn’t pitched in an MLB game since April 13th, when he pitched one inning and gave up one run (a home run).
It finally appears that he will be making his way back into the Dodgers’ bullpen.
Blake Treinen To Join Los Angeles Dodgers Bullpen Next Week

According to Bill Plunkett of the OC Register, after completing his rehab, the plan is for Treinen to join the Dodgers either Sunday or Monday of next week.
He likely will not be available to pitch until Monday and will likely be used in the “highest-leverage” situations.
Blake Treinen has completed his rehab. Will join the #Dodgers and be activated either Sunday or Monday (probably not available to pitch until Monday). Won't necessarily be "dedicated" closer. Use in highest-leverage situations

Treinen only pitched in a handful of games before landing on the IL, but in those games, he held a 3.38 ERA with 10 strikeouts.
This is fantastic news for the Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen, which has been wildly inconsistent all season and ravaged with injuries. When healthy, Treinen is not only one of the team’s best relievers, but he is also one of the most consistent.

In the postseason last year, Treinen pitched 12.1 total innings and held an impressive 2.19 ERA with 18 strikeouts. In the World Series-clinching game against the New York Yankees, he pitched 2.1 innings, gave up zero runs, and had 3 strikeouts.
Including Treinen, the Dodgers still have 12 pitchers on the injured list, so getting him back into the bullpen cannot come quickly enough.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are slated to play the Reds in Cincinnati on Monday.
