Los Angeles Dodgers reliever, Blake Treinen, took the mound on Friday Night against the San Francisco Giants with a slight change to his wardrobe.
In honor of Charlie Kirk, who was tragically murdered on September 10, Treinen had the name “Charlie Kirk” transcribed on his hat with a Cross on each side of the name.

Dodgers Pitcher Blake Treinen Honors Charlie Kirk
Treinen is one of the more outspoken players on the Dodgers, and his honoring of Kirk on Friday Night drew widespread support across social media.
Kirk was killed on September 10 while speaking in front of a couple of thousand people on the campus of Utah Valley University, in a neighboring city of Salt Lake City. Authorities say that the suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was apprehended on Friday.

When it comes to baseball, Treinen came in for the Dodgers in the Bottom of the 10th inning in a 1-1 tie game. With the new rules, a runner immediately starts on 2nd base. Treinen got the batter that he faced to ground out to 2nd, but the runner was able to advance to 3rd.
Reliever Tanner Scott then replaced Treinen, walked two batters, and gave up a Grand Slam. Los Angeles lost the game 5-1.
They will face the Giants again tonight at 6:05 PM PT. Clayton Kershaw is on the mound for the Dodgers, and the game will air on SportsNet LA.
