On Thursday night, the MLB announced the winners of the AL and NL MVPs. Although it was a close race in the AL, it was already a forgone conclusion who would win the NL MVP. For the third consecutive season, Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani won the MVP.

Ohtani was unanimously named MVP for the 2nd consecutive year, becoming the only player in MLB history to win consecutive unanimous MVPs. This is Ohtani’s 4th time winning MVP, making him 2nd all-time to only Barry Bonds, who won 7 MVP awards.

With his 4th MVP and 2nd World Series, Ohtani has certainly done enough to enter the conversation for the greatest baseball player of all-time.

Shohei Ohtani Greatest Of All Time?

Although Bonds broke Hank Aaron’s record for home runs, all baseball fans know that the record is incredibly fraudulent due to his blatant cheating with steroid usage. Many of Bonds’ numbers are fraudulent, and no real baseball fan actually accepts those stats anyway.

But even the other all-time great hitters who did not cheat, such as Ken Griffey Jr, Reggie Jackson, Willie Mays, Jackie Robinson, etc, could not pitch like Ohtani.

Ohtani can do it all, unlike any player in the history of the game. He can steal 50 bases, hit 50 home runs, and pitch 6 shutout innings. There is no player like the great Shohei Ohtani, and already with multiple World Series rings and 4 MVPs, the baseball GOAT debate may already be over.

Congratulations Ohtani! Dodgers fans cannot wait to see you win another World Series ring and MVP again next year. Ohtani has truly become one of the greatest superstars baseball will ever see, and Dodgers fans love this man for all he has done for the team and the city of Los Angeles.
