To say that the Los Angeles Dodgers have been cursed with injuries this season would be a vast understatement. It seems as if every week, another player is put on the injured list, and this week is no different.
After hitting a foul ball off his leg during yesterday’s game, rookie catcher Dalton Rushing will be going on the IL with a deep bone bruise.
#Dodgers Dave Roberts said Dalton Rushing will be going on the IL, after hitting foul ball of his leg, leaving a deep bone bruise.
Chuckie Robinson will be activated.

Dodgers Rookie Catcher Dalton Rushing Put On IL
Luckily, CT scans did not reveal any fractures in Rushing’s leg, so it is just a bruise, but it will keep him out of the lineup for some time.
In a corresponding move, the Dodgers called up Chuckie Robinson from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Robinson has not made an appearance in the majors yet this season. He has a career average of .132 with a .364 OPS across 129 at-bats in the big leagues.

The Dodgers’ starting catcher, Will Smith, has been out with a bone bruise in his right hand, but he will likely be able to avoid the IL and rejoin the lineup soon.
The Dodgers are currently in the middle of playing the Baltimore Orioles. Ben Rortvedt is playing catcher after getting called up when Smith got injured. During today’s game, he has one hit and a run scored. The Dodgers are leading 3-0 as Yamamoto has been fantastic on the mound.
Hopefully, Rushing can avoid anything longer than the 10-day IL.
