Red-Hot NFL Draft Prospect Harold Fannin Jr. Addresses Interest Level In Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have a healthy number of stars on offense. Sean McVay has options to get the offense going between Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, and Cooper Kupp.

Of course, while there are questions about whether the Rams could lose Kupp and Stafford, there seems to be an equal chance the team sticks together in its current form for one more year.

However, one offensive position that is clearly in need of a boost going into the off-season is tight end.

Tyler Higbee is getting deeper into his 30s and his age arguably caught up to him this year. He also is in the closing moments of his contract with the Rams seemingly hesitant to dive in on extending him. Additionally, tight end Colby Parkinson is worth keeping around, but the group needs an injection.

One such source of youth could be tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

Speaking to LAFB at the Senior Bowl, Harold Fanin Jr. was asked if he saw the Rams selecting him as a good ending to the transition into the NFL.

“I mean, it’d be great whoever picks me up,” Fannin said.

It wasn’t quite the jump for joy the Rams might want. Sure, it sounds like he has interest, but the Rams don’t appear to rank higher than any other team.

Of course, with the number one goal to get into one of the most exclusive leagues in sports, Fannin might also just be staying humble in not trying to ask for too much more than just continuing his career.

That said, his production makes him one target the Rams shouldn’t pass up if given the opportunity.

The former Bowling Green tight end is an interesting prospect. He also appeared to be quite popular with the media, constantly surrounded during the media availability. If the Rams want him, they might have competition, and with good reason.

Harold Fannin Jr. earned a whopping 117 catches for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns in his junior year. Unlike many prospects, he didn’t transfer between schools, signaling a commitment level outranking others.

His history also shows that when Fannin settles in with a team, he doesn’t jump around. This could be good if he works out with the Rams and gets into position for a second contract.

Fannin also is still remarkably young heading into an age 21 season. If the Rams do draft him, they could be set for the next decade.

With an offensive roster in need of a boost at tight end, Fannin Jr. would be a great selection for the Los Angeles Rams. As it stands, Fannin Jr. is projected to go in the 3rd round in most mock drafts, so the Rams would need to select him with their second pick.
