The Los Angeles Rams opted to rest starting running back Kyren Williams in their season finale against the Seattle Seahawks, allowing Blake Corum to showcase his abilities as the starting running back. However, Corum’s playing time was cut short due to a forearm injury sustained in the second quarter.
The 2024 third-round rookie took two carries for a total of 10 yards, as well as, a reception on his only target for 12 yards before the injury.
Los Angeles Rams RB, Blake Corum Questionable To Return With Injury
The exact mechanism of the injury remains unclear, but it is possible that Corum sustained the injury on his reception, during which he collided with Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen along the sideline. Running back Ronnie Rivers was in on the very next play.
With Williams inactive and Corum sidelined, the Rams were left with limited options at running back, relying on Rivers and Cody Schrader to carry the workload for the remainder of the game.
Corum’s injury status remains uncertain, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming playoffs.
