Who’s starting for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2024?
The Los Angeles Lakers have made several changes since the end of last season. The biggest move was firing head coach Darvin Ham and hiring JJ Redick, who’s never been a head coach before.
However, the front office also made several roster moves, including drafting LeBron James’ son, Bronny James. But Bronny isn’t expected to join his father in the Lakers’ starting lineup. So, who is?

According to Redick’s appearance on “The Lowe Post” podcast, the likely 2024 Lakers starting lineup is as follows:
- D’Angelo Russell – Point guard
- Austin Reaves – Shooting guard
- LeBron James – Small forward
- Rui Hachimura – Power forward
- Anthony Davis – Center
This is the same starting lineup the Lakers used for 29 games last season in which they went 21-8. That equates to a win percentage of 72.4%. That’s significantly better than the version that won 57.3% of their games last season.
Yet, while this is the Lakers starting lineup Redick intends to begin with, chances are he’ll have to make several changes throughout the season when injuries and unique matchups present themselves.
