Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts put superstar Shohei Ohtani on blast during an in-game interview on Friday night.

In the first inning of Game 5 of the NLCS, Ohtani was on third base with nobody out when Teoscar Hernandez hit a grounder to shortstop Francisco Lindor.

Lindor was playing at normal depth as the Mets were willing to concede a run. However, Ohtani never broke for home and the Mets ended up getting out of the inning unscathed.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager says Ohtani suffered ‘brain cramp’

In an interview in the top of the third inning, Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal asked Roberts about Ohtani not scoring on the ground out and the manager didn’t hold back.

“I don’t know. I mean, it was corners in right there, ball to the middle of the field. I think he just had a brain cramp and locked up right there,” Roberts told Rosenthal.

“Obviously, they kind of built momentum on that. Hopefully we can weather that.”

The Dodgers, however, did not weather the storm.

The Mets built up an early 10-2 lead, with Pete Alonso setting the table with a three-run bomb in the bottom of the first. The Mets won Game 5 against the Dodgers, 12-6, to stave off elimination.

Game 6 is Sunday at 5:08 p.m. PT. The Dodgers will be going with a bullpen game as the Mets will start lefty Sean Manaea.

The Dodgers lead the series three games to two.
