The Los Angeles Dodgers have seemingly turned all of their attention to their last roster need, the bullpen. They signed Tanner Scott, then shortly thereafter picked up Kirby Yates. And they are not done.
According to SI’s Pat Ragazzo, the Dodgers were on hand to view free-agent right-handed pitcher Lou Trivino’s bullpen session for interested clubs in Florida yesterday. The New York Yankees, his former team, were among the teams in attendance, along with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, and Cleveland Guardians.
Los Angeles Dodgers Free Agents Pursuit Continues With Righty Pitcher

This list is not exhaustive, but it indicates a significant level of interest in the 33-year-old Trivino. His recent return to health, following a series of arm injuries that sidelined him since 2022, has generated considerable intrigue among potential suitors.
Ragazzo notes that Trivino showcased a sinker velocity of 94 mph during his bullpen session. While this velocity falls short of his peak performance, it is encouraging considering that spring training has yet to commence. A gradual ramp-up period could potentially enable Trivino to regain some of his lost velocity.
While a return to his previous peak velocities of 97 mph or even the 95.8 mph average he achieved in 2022 is not guaranteed, the fact that he is already approaching these levels in early workouts is a positive sign of his potential return to form.

Several of the teams in attendance at Trivino’s bullpen session represent potential landing spots for the veteran reliever. However, while the Los Angeles Dodgers possess a renowned track record for maximizing pitcher performance, their veteran-laden bullpen may not offer Trivino the most direct path to consistent playing time.
Following the recent wave of acquisitions, the Dodgers have reportedly been exploring trade opportunities for several players deemed “surplus” to their current roster needs. According to reports, right-handed reliever Ryan Brasier is among the players being actively discussed with other clubs.
