The Los Angeles Chargers are poised to beef up their defense via the 2025 NFL Draft and there are several defensive players attempting to make a name for themselves this week at the Senior Bowl. One Oregon Duck has caught the attention of many NFL scouts.
Jeffrey Bassa is a name that is soaring to the top of Draft boards.
Jeffrey Bassa is currently the 79th-ranked prospect according to PFF.
Bassa is expected to be a late day 2 selection or early day 3 selection. Without a big-name linebacker prospect, the title of the best linebacker in the 2025 Draft is ripe for the taking. Bassa wants that title after his performance at practices this week.
During his time in college, Bassa played 41 games and made 139 total tackles.
The Oregon defensive star has spent time playing defensive line, safety, corner, and linebacker throughout his college career.

The Los Angeles Chargers need multiple defenders this offseason who have experience in stopping the run as well as dropping back into coverage. Bassa fits in perfectly with that description.
The Chargers could very easily find themselves taking the Oregon Duck in the 2nd or 3rd round, and he would be a fantastic potential fit playing alongside LB Daiyan Henley.
