According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Boise State wide receiver Prince Strachan has committed to the USC Trojans.

USC Trojans Add WR Prince Strachan Via Transfer Portal

The 6 foot 5, receiver visited the USC Trojans on January 8th. He also entertained visits to the UCLA Bruins, Miami Hurricanes, and Arizona State Sun Devils.
Strachan marks the 11th player added through the USC transfer portal and is a much-needed addition to the wide receiving corps. They have lost an incredible 21 players to the portal this year including four wide receivers.
Strachan had 37 receptions for 578 yards and three touchdowns in two seasons at Boise State. Strachan will provide USC with the needed size at WR for the next season’s roster.
With the departures of key players, including Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane, the team possesses limited proven talent at the position. Strachan is expected to compete for a starting role as an outside wide receiver alongside Lane.
The current roster includes Jay Fair, who is projected to assume a more prominent role in the slot, as well as Jaden Richardson and Xavier Jordan. The team also welcomed three incoming freshmen: Tanook Hines, Romero Ison, and Corey Simms.
Strachan is the No. 949 transfer overall and No. 156 WR in the 2025 portal according to On3. Transferring to Miami would allow Strachan to return much closer to home. Strachan played at John Carroll High in Fort Pierce after relocating from the Bahamas because of Hurricane Dorian in 2019 per 247Sports.
Strachan was the No. 200 WR and No. 208 player from Florida according to the 2022 247Sports Composite rankings. Strachan did not start playing football until he moved to the United States. In addition to playing football, Strachan was also a regional qualifier in the 400 meters in high school per his 247Sports profile.
