USC Trojans Add Another GM To An Already Insane Front Office Staff

It looks like College Football has awoken a sleeping giant as the USC Trojans have had an unbelievably successful January, at least in terms of offseason acquisitions and additions.

USC’s GM, Chad Bowden, who was hired just a few weeks ago, has been busy building out his staff and just added another huge addition today.

USC Trojans To Hire Wisconsin GM Max Stienecker To Front Office Role

USC is hiring Wisconsin GM Max Stienecker for a front-office role with the Trojans. Per Pete Nakos of On3, Stienecker’s title will be Executive Director of Player Personnel.

This is another hire from Bowden’s illustrious circle, as both Bowden and Stienecker worked together at Cincinnati. Stienecker followed Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell to Wisconsin, where he would be promoted to Director of Player Personnel at just 22 years old, the youngest in college football history. He was promoted to GM this past summer.

As mentioned, Bowden has been busy and is building a juggernaut of a staff. Last week he hired Zaire Turner from Notre Dame as his new Assistant AD of Recruiting Operations, and Dre Brown from Illinois as Executive Director of Scouting and Personnel. Both were Directors of Player Personnel at their previous schools.

USC now has two GM candidates, and one acting GM on staff working alongside Chad Bowden. The transformation this front office has gone through since the turn of the new year is quite remarkable.

Tomorrow, February 5, is National Signing Day and the USC Trojans will be announcing their new coaching hires along with new GM Chad Bowden. LAFB will be on campus bringing you the latest updates.
