D’Anton Lynn And USC Trojans May Flip Michigan State Linebacker Commit

Three-star 2024 linebacker Jayden Walker is currently committed to Michigan State, but according to a new prediction from On3.com, thanks to a push from D’Anton Lynn and linebackers coach Matt Entz, Walker may be flipping his commitment to the USC Trojans. On3 is giving it a 97.3% chance of happening as of January 21.

Walker committed to Michigan State back on September 9th, but this was back when Mel Tucker was still the head coach.

Since then, Tucker was fired and former Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith was hired. Whenever a coaching change is made, de-commitments and transfers are expected. The Trojans officially offered Walker back on December 15.

Jayden Walker A Fit For USC Trojans?

The 6’3, 205-pound linebacker out of Portage, Michigan is the 80th-ranked linebacker in the nation, per 247Sports. Of the 2024 USC Commitment class, Elijah Newby is the only linebacker, so Walker would add some depth and some more youth to a veteran room.

National Signing Day is quickly approaching in February, and the transfer portal will open again in Spring. USC and Lincoln Riley are sure to add more players to the roster over the next couple of months.
