The Las Vegas Raiders drafted 11 players in last week’s 2025 NFL Draft. They also added a talented UDFA class, and we believe there are three likely candidates to make the roster from that group.
All of this being said does not mean that the Raiders are necessarily done making additions before training camp begins at the end of July.
While most of their major needs were satisfied during free agency and the draft, there is still one position group in particular with a lot of question marks.
Are The Las Vegas Raiders Set At Outside Linebacker?
ESPN’s Aaron Schatz wrote about post-draft roster needs for all 32 NFL teams, and for the Raiders, he mentioned the outside linebacker position.
“The Raiders’ top outside linebacker right now is Devin White, who couldn’t get on the field for the Eagles last season and eventually went to the Texans, where he started one game. He’s known for overrunning plays and questionable pass-coverage instincts.”
I loved the signing of White because of the potential upside. The former 5th-overall pick is still just 25 years old and put together some fantastic seasons in Tampa Bay to begin his career. It felt like a low-risk-high-reward signing. That is, if there was depth around him, which there is not.

“Amari Burney is behind White and played only 9.1% of Las Vegas’ defensive snaps last season, slightly more than Tommy Eichenberg’s 7.2%.”
White will be seen as a home run signing or a bust that the Raiders overlooked, and will be reeling mid-season to fill a need.
There are still a few quality players out there that the team should look at, such as Ja’Whaun Bentley, and the older yet reliable Eric Kendricks.
De’Vondre Campbell is more known for quitting on the San Francisco 49ers during the middle of a game last year than his play on the field, but he is a talented player that the Raiders could take a flyer on if they wanted more competition for White.
They signed Jailin Walker as a UDFA out of Indiana. He will have a viable shot to compete for a large role if no one else is added to the roster.
