NFL.com named Las Vegas Raiders rookie wideout Jack Bech to its “2025 NFL Draft: Ten rookies in the best situations to succeed in Year 1 and beyond” list — a nod to both his talent and his ideal landing spot in a retooled Raiders offense.
Bech, a second-round pick out of TCU, has quickly become a name to watch in Las Vegas. In fact, NFL.com analyst Marc Ross went as far as to say,
“I already view Bech as the best wide receiver on the Raiders roster, as he’s joining a room with Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker and a couple of Day 3 picks from this year’s draft.”

While that may raise eyebrows considering the presence of established veterans, the logic holds. The Raiders’ offense is expected to run through dynamic tight end Brock Bowers and rookie running back Ashton Jeanty, with veteran quarterback Geno Smith distributing the ball. With so much defensive attention focused elsewhere, Bech could find himself in highly favorable one-on-one matchups out of the slot or as a second read.
“The Geno Smith-led offense will run through Brock Bowers and rookie running back Ashton Jeanty,” Ross added. “That means Bech should have the opportunity to capitalize on some advantageous matchups… The Las Vegas offense should take a step — maybe a few steps — forward this fall.”
While Bech’s draft slot suggests modest expectations, the opportunity in front of him is significant. If he clicks early with Smith and makes the most of the defensive coverage mismatches, Bech could quickly outplay his draft status — and become one of the Raiders’ most impactful rookies in 2025.
