Tom Brady may not be a daily fixture inside the Las Vegas Raiders’ facility, but his presence is unmistakably felt across the organization—and that’s exactly how team owner Mark Davis envisioned it.
In a conversation with Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal this week, Davis shared that Brady’s recent addition as a limited partner is already having a meaningful impact on the franchise.
Quiet Yet Powerful Influence on the Las Vegas Raiders’ New Era

“Absolutely,” Davis said when asked if the new ownership group has made a difference. “And that’s why the changes were made. It was a battle to get it done. It took four years to actually get Tom into the building and bring in that expertise and that confidence that we’re talking about. I think it started there.”
Davis highlighted the broader vision that comes with Brady’s involvement—not just his résumé, but his competitive fire and long-term investment in the Raiders’ future. “I don’t think there’s anybody more competitive, that I know of, than Tom Brady,” he added.
Brady isn’t the only recent addition. Davis also brought in Egon Durban, Michael Meldman, and Tom Wagner as limited partners—each with impressive business credentials. Their inclusion, Davis explained, was designed to strengthen the Raiders’ infrastructure both on and off the field.
“Tom was brought in initially for the football side of the building. Somebody who is going to be there for a long, long time—not as a president, but someone who’s got skin in the game,” Davis said. “Egon, Meldman, and Wagner were brought in for their business acumen off the field. They have ideas on the field as well, but off the field, they’re brilliant, brilliant businessmen.”
The leadership reboot continues with head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek—who have yet to coach a game but have already changed the atmosphere in Las Vegas.
“It’s been fun. It’s been fantastic,” Davis said. “I love Pete Carroll. I’ve watched him from afar for many, many years. John, I’ve just gotten to know. I think he’s a special person, somebody who can be here for a long, long time.”
For a franchise searching for long-term stability, Brady’s influence may just be the foundation they’ve needed.
