With the NFL Draft just over two weeks away, set to commence at the iconic Lambeau Field, all 32 teams across the league are in the final stages of their preparations for the three-day selection event. This includes the Las Vegas Raiders, now under the leadership of new head coach Pete Carroll, who will be looking to strategically utilize their draft capital to build for the future. This will include nailing picks in the later rounds.
Pro Football Focus attempted to find the best fits among the talent expected to go on day three. For the Raiders, they found nickel corner Jacob Parrish, formerly of the Kansas State Wildcats.
Las Vegas Raiders Prospect to Target: CB Jacob Parrish, Kansas State

“After finishing 32nd in PFF coverage grade last season, the Raiders will need to add to their cornerback platoon with several draft picks. Parrish possesses the agility and fluidity to thrive at the next level as a nickel cornerback, having charted in the 98th percentile in slot PFF coverage grade this past season.”
Parrish, 21 years old, presents an intriguing profile with a prospect grade of 6.30, projecting him as a future plus starter. Standing at 5′ 10″ and 191 lbs, his athletic testing shines, ranking 4th among cornerbacks at the 2025 Combine with an estimated athleticism score of 90. His official 4.35-second 40-yard dash and impressive 37.5-inch vertical jump underscore his physical capabilities. Parrish has demonstrated consistent production, leading his team in interceptions in 2023 and pass breakups in 2024, earning Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors in both seasons.
NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein highlights Parrish’s quick feet, smooth hips, and ability to maintain tight coverage on underneath routes in press-man situations. His plus route recognition and twitchy closing burst allow him to challenge catches and phase-deep balls effectively. However, Zierlein also notes areas for improvement, including struggles against size at the top of routes, slower change of direction due to longer strides, and inconsistent run support. Despite these weaknesses, Parrish’s athleticism and ball skills suggest the potential to compete for a significant role, possibly as a CB3, with further seasoning and development.
