Nassib was the first openly gay man to play in a regular-season game in the NFL.

“It’s an homage to the people in my community that came before me that put me in a position to be able to come out and play the sport that I love and be who I was all day, every day,” Cal Nassib said of the moment.

Nassib played seven total seasons in the NFL. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2016 in the 3rd round out of Penn State.

He finished his career with 186 total tackles, 25.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 interception.

His best season with the Raiders came in 2020 when he finished with 28 total tackles and 2.5 sacks.
