The Los Angeles Rams have key players entering the final year of their deals. Some are core vets, others are role players.

Here’s where each one stands heading into 2025, and whether they should be part of the plan beyond this season.

Los Angeles Rams Players With Expiring Contracts

Rob Havenstein, RT (33) Havenstein is a steady, durable leader who still plays at a solid level. He anchors the right side of the line and rarely needs help in pass protection.

Verdict: Re-sign.

A short extension makes sense if he stays healthy. Havenstein is nearing the end of his career, and it’s likely he’s only got 1-2 more years in him. If he wants to stay, let him stay.

Tyler Higbee, TE (33) Longtime starter, but coming off ACL and MCL tears. The Rams also added Ferguson in the draft.

Verdict: Re-sign for the right price.

Higbee is a locker room favorite and was the best tight end despite coming back from an injury last season.

Tutu Atwell, WR (26) Speed threat on a one-year deal. Flashes big plays but struggles with consistency.

Verdict: Wait and see.

Needs a strong, steady year to earn another contract.

Kyren Williams, RB (25) Back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. Productive, reliable, but high mileage.

Verdict: Don’t overpay.

Rams have younger backs lined up, and investing heavily in an RB is a lesson Snead and McVay learned from Todd Gurley.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB (33) Experienced backup brought in to sit behind Stafford.

Verdict: Re-sign.

He’s better than most of the backups around the league, and with a likely young QB next year, he’d be a good mentor.

Ronnie Rivers, RB (26) Core special teamer and RB3. Limited offensive role.

Verdict: Let him walk.

Easily replaceable.

Cobie Durant, CB (27) Solid CB and a consistent contributor. Still developing, but one of the best corners on the team.

Verdict: Wait and see.

Needs to flash more ball production.

Quentin Lake, S (26) Versatile and smart, but lacks big plays. Starting strong safety/nickel corner for now.

Verdict: Re-sign.

A super versatile piece in the secondary that does a lot for the defense. The Rams aren’t known to pay safeties, but could sign Lake to a team-friendly deal.

Derion Kendrick, CB (24) Depth player with speed limitations and inconsistent tape.

Verdict: Let him walk.

Others have passed him.

Ahkello Witherspoon, CB (30) Veteran stopgap. Solid but not part of the long-term core.

Verdict: Let him walk.

Rams will go younger as he has been inconsistent in play.

Troy Reeder, ILB (30) Familiar face back to help on early downs and special teams.

Verdict: Re-sign for cheap.

Fans might not like it, but he’s great depth and special teams.

Nate Landman, ILB (26) Underrated addition with a real shot to start. Tough, high-motor guy.

Verdict: Wait and see.

Could earn a short deal if he impresses.

Larrell Murchison, DL (28) Rotational lineman returning from injury. Can flash, but not consistently.

Verdict: Let him walk.

Low upside, injury history, young defensive line with little opportunity.
