According to Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, the Los Angeles Rams could be a team to watch as veteran linebacker Germaine Pratt reportedly seeks a trade from the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Pratt has formally requested a trade, and the Bengals appear open to moving him — especially after adding linebackers Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter in the 2025 NFL Draft. With increased depth at the position, Cincinnati may be willing to part with Pratt for the right price.
Should The Los Angeles Rams Take A Swing At LB?

Pratt, 28, has been a model of consistency and durability over his six-year career, having played at least 15 games in every season. In 2024, he totaled 143 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles, continuing to show his value as a reliable off-ball linebacker.
While the Indianapolis Colts, who now have former Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, are seen as a natural landing spot given the close relationship between coach and player, the Los Angeles Rams are emerging as a team that should seriously consider making a move.
Los Angeles entered the offseason with clear needs in the back seven, particularly at inside linebacker. Although the Rams eventually drafted Chris Paul Jr. out of Ole Miss in the fifth round, they bypassed the position in the earlier rounds and are still seeking proven production at the heart of their defense.
Adding Pratt would provide the Rams with an immediate starter and a vocal leader to anchor their linebacker unit. His experience and productivity could help stabilize a young Rams defense in transition after trading Ernest Jones
Los Angeles has been quietly reshaping its roster through value-driven acquisitions and youth development, but acquiring Pratt would be a significant, win-now move that aligns with head coach Sean McVay’s vision of staying competitive in a tough NFC West.
While there’s no confirmed traction between the Rams and Bengals at this point, the fit makes sense — and if Cincinnati is indeed willing to deal Pratt at a “reasonable price,” as suggested by Knox expect Los Angeles to at least inquire.
