2025 Los Angeles Rams Schedule Provides Early Shot At 2024 Redemption

The NFL’s 2025 schedule release has set the stage for a marquee early-season showdown: the Los Angeles Rams traveling east to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. But this game is more than just a test between two NFC contenders — it’s a chance for the Rams to settle a score.

The Rams’ 2024 campaign was derailed twice by the Eagles — first in a lopsided regular season loss at home, then again in the NFC Divisional Round, where Philadelphia dominated en route to a convincing playoff victory.

In both meetings, the Rams were outmuscled at the line of scrimmage, allowing embarrassing rushing totals of 314 yards and 285 yards, outcoached in situational football, and ultimately outclassed by a more physical, better-prepared Eagles team.

Those losses exposed cracks in the Rams’ scheme and personnel, especially in defending mobile quarterbacks and managing pressure up front.

Now, with an offseason to regroup, Sean McVay and company will be circling this game as a litmus test. Has Los Angeles closed the gap? Has the defense added the physicality and discipline needed to slow Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ downhill rushing attack? Can Matthew Stafford and the offense generate enough rhythm against a defense that gave them fits?

Week 3 offers answers — and perhaps a bit of emotional fuel. A win in Philadelphia won’t erase the pain of last January, but it could signal a new chapter. In a tightly packed NFC, statement wins matter, and few would be louder than going on the road and outplaying the team that ended your season.

For the LA, it’s not just about revenge. It’s about proving they belong in the conference’s top tier — and that what happened in 2024 won’t define who they are in 2025.
